About
Palm Beach Atlantic has established a scholarship for students of color named in honor of a beloved member of our faculty, Dr. Terriel Byrd, professor of Urban Christian Ministry and coordinator of the Evening Ministry Program. Dr. Byrd’s scholarly work focuses on the theme of Christian unity through his writings examining racial separation in worship and interpreting the voice and message of Dr. King for modern audiences. Palm Beach Atlantic previously honored him with the Charles and Hazel Corts Award for Outstanding Teaching.
Your gift to The Dr. Terriel Byrd Scholarship helps underwrite a transformative PBA education for students of color. The renewable scholarship applies to tuition and room and board, providing these students with opportunities to immerse themselves in their studies without financial hardship. Please prayerfully consider making a gift to build the scholarship fund that expands student access to Palm Beach Atlantic University, equipping graduates to be resilient servant leaders, fearless in faith, and adventurers who positively change the world.
